Original Game: Penguin Wars (JP), King of the Zoo (EU)
JP: December 25, 1985
This game plays like dodgeball. The goal of the game is to have less balls than the other player or get rid of all your dodgeballs. To do that, you have to hit the other player. For me, this game made me so frustrated that I had to quit. There is a remake for the Switch that released last year, but I give it a 5/10.
The goal of this game is to get rid of all the ghouls and other enemies. This is a really fun game, so I would recommend trying this out. But the movement is a bit choppy, so 8/10.
This is a puzzle game with some cut music. Flappy's sprite looks like a baby chick, but is actually a mole. The goal is to push a blue rock to the goal, while avoiding enemies. There is 200 levels. My rating: 5/10. NO this is NOT Flappy Bird.

I hate this game. Smaller enemies (ninjas) hurt you a bit, but bigger ninjas just kills you. 1/10.
24. Magmax

EU: 1987 (Family Computer), US got the arcade.
I love this game. Basically you collect parts to build a robot and when you get hit, you lose a part.
10/10.
25. Gyrodine

JP: March 3, 1986, we got the arcade but Japan didn't.
It's bad. Everytime you die, it does that annoying intro (from when you start the game) and you can't skip it. Think of that Ghosts and Goblins game where you couldn't skip that map intro everytime you died. 1/10.
26. Wrecking Crew

A great Nintendo classic that should be on the NES Classic. I'll pass on the rating. By the way, is this Mario???? If so, did this predict Mario's builder outfit on Super Mario Maker???? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
27. Elevator

Another game by Micronics. Remember that "bloop-bloop" sound effect that I talked about on the 1942 review? This game also uses it. Fun game, many movies use scenes that have someone fight in an elevator. 9.5/10.
28. Xevious

Just a Namco arcade game. I'll pass on the rating. The pro version makes you shoot endlessly while holding A and it's fast.
29. Flappy

I don't even like this at all. In the game, your goal is to paint the road while avoiding police. But it's more than just that. Spikes and a..... CAT???? When I saw this cat I thought it would give me a powerup. Boy I was wrong. If you hit the cat, you would lose a life. Not joking. This made me rage too. 3.5/10. Did you know there is a company that uses this name? The US has a guy but the JP version has a girl named Clarice. I like Clarice because... she's cute! For the guy.... well... when you beat a level, he smokes.
31. Mach Rider

Mach Rider for the NES is a forgotten Nintendo classic. I wish he was in Super Smash Ultimate. The goal is to make it to the end. It's hard for me, but I'll give it 8.5/10.

It's just Bomber Man. I'll give it a pass.
33. Front Line

The game just feels so slow to me. You can't pause it either. 0/10.
34. Macross

JP: December 10, 1985
It's one of those endless shooters that's Macross themed. It does a nice job of making the Macross theme on the NES/Famicom. 10/10.
35. Excite Bike

36. F1 Race

Basically, it plays like Mach Rider. But if you die, time just speeds up on you. 9.5/10.
37. Road Fighter

What's up with these driving games on this page???? The goal is to make it to the finish before you run out of fuel. Problem is, you will crash into other cars or touch the sides, crashing. This is one of those Konami games that doesn't use it's iconic pause sound effect (TwinBee, like I said, does.) 5.5/10 for me.
38. Zippy Race

Same as Road Fighter, but worse. The cars will try to block you and there's water. 1/10. There is also 3D in the game, and the title screen will give you (WARNING) a seizure. So... yeah.
39. Star Force

This looks like Star Soldier. doesn't it. But except you can't skip that annoying intro every time you died! But good gameplay. 8.5/10. The pro version makes you shoot endlessly by holding the A button.
40. Exerion

My gosh, Jaleco! This is a really cool game on the NES. It looks 3D and it's a shooter, too. The graphics are nice too. It uses the same pause sound as City Connection, but high pitched. Otherwise, 10/10.
41. Galaxian
